Painting the outside of your house is one of the cheapest ways to make it look newer and, more to the point, to keep the weather out of it. We have been painting exteriors across Utah and Idaho since 2006, picking colors and products that look good and hold up.
A good exterior coat does two things at once. It makes the place look cared for, and it puts a real barrier between Utah weather and the wood, stucco, and siding underneath.
That barrier is what keeps moisture, wood rot, mildew, and UV from chewing through your exterior. Paint is doing structural work out here, not just sitting there looking nice, which is why prep and product selection are not corners we cut.
A fresh exterior also moves the needle on what your house is worth, and it is one of the better-value upgrades when you are getting ready to sell or just building equity.
We use exterior paints and primers built to protect wood, vinyl, and aluminum siding from sun and age. Good prep and good materials stretch the life of your siding so you are not replacing it years sooner than you should.
When we are done you get smooth coverage, crisp lines, and a color that fits the house. The kind of result you point out to people, not the kind you hope they do not look at too closely.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common questions about our exterior painting services
The ideal exterior painting season in Utah runs from late spring through early fall, roughly May through October. We need consistent temperatures above 50 degrees Fahrenheit and dry conditions for proper paint adhesion and curing. We monitor weather forecasts closely to schedule work during optimal windows.
In Utah's climate, high-quality exterior paint on properly prepared surfaces typically lasts seven to ten years on the body and five to seven years on trim and south-facing surfaces that get the most UV exposure. Factors like your home's orientation, substrate material, and the quality of the previous paint job all influence lifespan.
Yes. Modern exterior paints adhere well to vinyl siding, allowing you to change colors or refresh faded surfaces. We use paints specifically formulated for vinyl that remain flexible and do not cause warping. We can paint vinyl siding a similar or slightly darker shade than the original color.
Peeling paint must be completely removed before repainting. We scrape all loose and flaking material back to a solid edge, sand the transitions smooth, prime bare areas with a high-adhesion primer, and then apply topcoats. Identifying and addressing the cause of peeling, whether moisture, poor prep, or product failure, is critical to preventing recurrence.
Modern exterior latex (acrylic) paints are the standard choice for most applications. They offer superior flexibility, UV resistance, breathability, and ease of cleanup compared to oil-based products. Oil-based primers are still used in certain situations, such as sealing bare wood or blocking stains, but latex topcoats have largely replaced oil-based paints for exterior use.
When done properly, power washing is safe for virtually all exterior surfaces. Our crews adjust pressure levels based on the substrate, using lower pressure for wood and higher pressure for concrete and masonry. We keep the nozzle at the appropriate distance and angle to clean effectively without causing damage.
Absolutely. A complete color change is one of the most impactful updates you can make to your home. We may need to apply an additional coat for full coverage when making a dramatic color change, and we account for this in our estimate. We are happy to help you choose a new color scheme that complements your home.
Yes. We identify and address rotted wood as part of our preparation process. Minor rot can be treated with wood hardener and filled with epoxy wood filler. Sections with more extensive damage are replaced with new material before painting. Catching and repairing rot early prevents much more costly structural damage down the road.
